Our Objectives – Platform of Medical & Dental Society

To conduct activities for the welfare of physicians and medical-dental students of Bangladesh.
To work for the development of the health care system through research & education and enhance the excellence of medical and its allied sciences.
To work on resolving the problems of doctors and service seekers in a vision to improve the healthcare standards of Bangladesh, to develop relationships, build harmony, and to foster greater understanding and closer relationships between physicians and the people they serve.
To protect the honor and dignity of the medical profession and preserve the interests, rights and privileges of members of the Society.
To ensure safe and comfortable workplace for doctors with a vision to prevent unjustified attack & assault on doctors at their workplace and to declare and observe a national day/week to recognize the contributions of physicians to individual lives and communities.
To maintain cooperation and solidarity among the Society members and establish fraternal relationships, cooperation, and solidarity with the members of other science and technological organizations and institutions and to create friendships with these organizations in order to create scientific perspectives between the profession and the public.
On the basis of research and evidence, in accordance with the developed countries and adjoining countries, to be involved in the realization of the relevant demands, reasonable claims and rights of medical caregivers and recipients and take appropriate steps to implement anything that is of interest to both the physician and the patient’s interests.
To establish a dynamic and modern physician society by increasing communication between physicians and medical students and managing social groups on the Internet.
To identify, address & solve public health problem and to achieve Universal Health Coverage by adopting practical, technical, and implementation research and projects to make healthcare more accessible to the people.
To engage in charitable purposes and social welfare activities on a non-profit basis among communities and peoples of Bangladesh and other countries of the world.
To work with the help of the national and international medical education and research institute, on the basis of mutual understanding and technological transfer, arrange seminars and workshops for the purpose of developing skilled and modern physicians.
To help, make donation funds and provide financial aid for the treatment of serious physical illness of those who can’t bear all the expenses of treatment especially disadvantaged, indigent people of the society, medical students, doctors & their first-degree relatives, the family also in special circumstances.
To arrange, conduct seminars, workshops or training on a variety of medical disciplines aimed at mastering the theoretical and practical knowledge of young doctors and medical students in line with the education system of the developed world.
To conduct activities aimed at increasing the efficiency of youth society, youth welfare, women welfare, rehabilitation and welfare of patients, and increasing social awareness on various health problems through promoting research results and theoretical topics.
To ensure efficient and safe healthcare through mutual understanding and coordination of lawyers, police, administrators, journalists and other professionals with physicians and medical students by creating a field of mutual support.
To provide scholarship / financial / debenture / education loan / microcredit support to physicians and students with a view to improving their academic and professional skills.
In light of the various programs adopted by the government and international organizations to bring modernization and sustainable development in the country’s health care, to adopt and implement research and development projects through the mutual support of the local and international concerned organizations.
To work on research, screening, primary health care, and awareness raising to address public health problems, infectious, and non-communicable diseases and assist the government through research and development projects with a view to standardizing healthcare, identifying problems, modernizing and establishing a sound referral system in the country to cure infectious and non-communicable diseases.
To assist the government in making medical decisions through research-based, logical analysis and comparative discussion of various health decisions taken by the government.
To organize various literary publications and cultural activities to encourage and develop the hidden talent and extra-curricular activities of physicians and medical students.
To establish Medical Journalism through mutual interdisciplinary dialogue and training activities of physicians and journalists with the aim of publishing accurate and unbiased healthcare news and to organize, supervise, publish individual regular publications, and to manage, run electronic mass media on behalf of the medical community.
To do all and any other acts or things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the above objects.
